    Modern Gesture Navigation

Android-based devices typically use global back buttons. With the modern change away from the 3-button system which included the back button, comes some confusion on how to go back on apps and websites.

    Using Gesture Navigation

The modern system uses gestures instead of buttons. To go back:

    • Swipe left from the right side of the screen - This will achieve the back function
    • You can also swipe from the left edge to go back

    Enable Traditional 3-Button Navigation

If the traditional 3-button option is preferred, you can configure this:

    1. Open the Settings app
    2. Go to System
    3. Tap Gestures
    4. Select Navigation Mode
    5. Choose 3-button navigation

This will restore the traditional Back, Home, and Recent Apps buttons at the bottom of your screen.
